Dr. Sunil H. Patel

Biography

Dr. Sunil H. Patel graduated from M.S. University in Baroda, Gujarat, India, and completed his Internal Medicine residency program in the greater Chicago area. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1987 and in Geriatric Medicine since 1994. He has been in medical practice in the Tracy/Manteca community since 1988 and is proud to call San Joaquin County his home where he raised his family.

He was part of Eaton Medical Group, from 1988 to 1996. From 1996-1999 he led MedPartners Physician Group as Medical Director. In 1999, he established his private practice. His special interests are the management of diabetes, including insulin pumps, hypertension, osteoporosis, dementia care, geriatric conditions, and mind-body wellness.

He strongly believes in shared decision-making with patients and his ability to partner with patients is critical to his success. He treats his practice as his extended family. Over the last six years, he has been joined by Dr. Pranjal Patel, Dr. Neel Shah, and most recently, Dr. Shital Hubli. Dr. Sunil Patel has served as the Board Director of Tracy Hospital Foundation and has been elected Chief of Staff of Sutter Tracy Community Hospital twice. He currently enjoys serving as a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Tracy. He is a strong supporter of youth development and believes in giving back to the community. Philanthropy is his focus over the years to come

Dr. S. Patel has been the recipient of the Best of Tracy and Best of Best Awards by the Tracy Press for numerous years. He was recognized as the Professional of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce and as a Health Champion by the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. As a member of PremierCare Physicians, he aspires to bring the highest level of healthcare and wellness to the patients they serve.
